Episode 2 is finally up on Tudou!

but here is the updated full version: http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/6UscaQLiF8M/

So Emilio has immunity for this week's challenge, and as usual, everyone gathered at the runway and awaited Heidi's announcement of the next challenge. And as usual, she basically gives the instruction:

go find Tim Gunn, he'll tell you about it

The designers were brought to a farm, where they saw Tim Gunn and their models dressed in potato sacks. It was quite a funny sight!

Challenge: Create a Party Look from a Burlap Potato Sack

The idea of the challenge was based on the phrase "she looks so beautiful that she'll even look great in a potato sack!". I like it when Project Runway does these type of funny challenges. I loved the newspaper challenge in Season 6, and also the Food Challenge in the earlier seasons.

Catch #1: the models will be their clients

this means that the designers will not only have to create their ideal party dress, but also make sure that they incorporate in all of wants and fancies of their models. basically, this always turns out shitified, as some of the models want really weird stuff, while some of the designers just seek to please their models.

Catch #2: since the models are the clients, they will be choosing which designers they want to work with
this is unnerving as the designers may kind of take it personally as to whether they are wanted. Most of the models stuck with their same designers, however, Mila's model made a SWITCH! and Mila was the last designer to be chosen by a model. I guess that really bruised her ego!

Next, the designers had to pick the basic materials while undergoing a consultation with their model. Wow, massive multi-tasking at work. The designers must really think quick on their feet!

Finally, the designers get to go back to their workroom at Parsons School of Design

some HP tablet advertisement here, how tactical

Tim Gunn came in to check up on the designers, basically many of them were doing okay and had massive time issues

Mila's weird design

well, perhaps this was why her model decided to change her! in fact, i feel that her previous design in episode 1 was weird and unflattering! she probably only edged out of the bottom 3!

fastforward to the runway.
almost all the dresses turned out amazingly nice, you will never never guess that they are actually potato sacks!

the top designers are..

Photobucket

amy, i really liked this dress!
she did not dye it, but really made it look really nice!

Photobucket

mila, it turned out really nice actually!
but i don't like the gaping hole at the boobs area
if you are flat, it just accentuates how flat you actually are!

and the winner is...

Jay! this really suits the theme that the models are going for an industrial event. really like a party dress! however, i preferred Amy's one even more, perhaps it will look better if it was dyed

and now for the bottom 3...

Photobucket

Ping, this was utterly disgusting in my opinion
she should have been out!

Photobucket

Jesus (pronounced as hey-sus)
i thought he should have been out as well! he did not use potato sacks, and used ribbons actually. and it still looked ugly!

the designer that was out this week...

OUT: Pamela

i can't understand why she was out though
even though the dress was poorly constructed, but the idea is there, and she did use the potato sack. it definitely did not look as bad as Ping's!
